  2. Fixed-Term Deposits: The minimum investment must be $750,000 USD in a licensed bank in Panama.
  3. Investment in the Panama Stock Exchange: The investment must be a minimum of $500,000 USD and maintained for a period of five years.

Personal Documentation:

  • A valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity remaining.
  • Criminal background certificate from the country of origin and from any countries where you have resided in the last two years, properly apostilled or legalized.
  • Certificate of good health.
  • Proof of Investment:
  • Real Estate: Public deed of the property in your name and a certificate from the Public Registry of Panama confirming ownership, or the Purchase Agreement if the property is still under construction.
  • Fixed-Term Deposits: Deposit contract with an authorized bank in Panama, with a minimum amount of $500,000 USD and a term of no less than three years.
  • Investment in the Stock Exchange: Proof of investment through a registered brokerage firm approved by the Superintendency of the Securities Market of Panama.

Procedure to Obtain the Qualified Investor Visa of Panama

  1. Document Collection: Gather all required personal and investment documents. Ensure that all documents are properly apostilled or legalized as necessary.
  2. Submission of Application: The application must be submitted to the National Immigration Service of Panama. It is advisable to have the assistance of an immigration lawyer in Panama to ensure that all documents and forms are correct and complete.
  3. Payment of Fees: You must pay the applicable fees to the National Immigration Service and any other costs related to the application.
  4. Evaluation and Approval: Once the application is submitted, Panamanian authorities will review all documentation and conduct the necessary checks. This process may take several months.
  5. Receipt of the Visa: If the Panamanian authorities approve the application, you will be granted the Qualified Investor Visa, usually within about a month. This visa is permanent and does not need to be renewed.
